The Fashion Design District serves as a central and prominent hub dedicated to showcasing the art of fashion design. Featuring a wide range of international, regional, and local designers, FDD is curated by Fashion & Celebrity Stylist Mai Galal in partnership with Maison Pyramide, who function as the concept and strategy curators. This district presents a historical exhibition that comprises a diverse selection of fashion pieces, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore the evolution of the participating brands. This immersive experience offers a unique glimpse into the essence of these brands while also dedicating a special area to sustainable fashion, encouraging active participation in the movement of creating fashion for good. The Fashion Design District will be hosted at the Citadel of Saladin in Dar El Darb, an extraordinary venue never previously utilized for such an event. The aim is to deliver an unforgettable experience this year.

Building on the success of last year’s partnership, Creative Industry Summit and Cairo Design Week are once again teaming up this year, celebrating the essence of art and design, by exploring the dynamic interplay between design and the creative economy. Taking over the Citadel with two incredible stages; one dedicated to design from all angles and another focused on fashion, collaborating with Maison Pyramide and Mai Galal. We are curating an impressive lineup of global, regional, and local prominent speakers, and engaging topics. Kicking off with incredible insights from our “Inside the Cairo Design Award Jury Room” sessions, exploring what happens behind the scenes, complemented by the shortlisted contestants showcasing their work. We will be bringing you a 3rd round of the C-S X Dokan Boutique collaboration with the Dekka Design Competition, where the winners will showcase their winning work on our stage.
